Chef Watters is a hometown boy, born and raised in Mandeville, Louisiana.  He graduated from Mandeville High School in 2004. Chef Watters went on to attend the Louisiana Culinary Institute, where he graduated in 2008.  While at the Institute, he won the Home Plate Classic, an Iron Chef-like competition. In 2012, Chef Watters was named a “Top Chef to Watch” by Louisiana Cookin Magazine.

For the past 11 years, Louisiana Cookin’ Magazine has honored the top young chefs who cook delicious Louisianan food featuring locally grown ingredients that adds a “new flair to traditional fare.” In 2012, Chef Zachary Watters was named by Louisiana Cookin magazine as a “Chef to Watch.” But don’t take their word for it; stop by Zachary’s Restaurant in Mandeville today and find out for yourself.
